Implementation of a server-side tracking

In the third quarter of 2024, the leading Google Chrome browser will cease to support third-party cookies. Even if they are already limited in practice (adblockers, Safari restrictions), this is a revolution, because third-party cookies have been used as a basis for tracking since the early days of the Internet. Third-party cookies are files that store users’ personal information (e.g. IP address, originating site, advertising identifier) for the benefit of a domain other than that of the main site (hence the term “third-party”). The impact is greatest for companies running advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Bing Ads, Meta Ads, etc.). There is a risk that the traffic measured will no longer be representative of real activity and will distort investment decisions.

Full implementation of server-side tracking

We can switch your site’s current tracking to 100% server-side tracking, using our partner Stape.io. The big advantage of server-side tracking is that you can trigger tracking using scripts loaded from a sub-domain (analytics.stigmi.eu in our case). Cookies generated in this way will be considered as proprietary (“first-party”) and no longer “third-party”.
